Biography

I am deeply committed to strengthening the relationships between acute perinatal care, population and public health, health policy, healthcare administration, and the continuum of care. Applied synergistically they are powerful tools supporting the current and future health status of the maternal child and youth population, and the communities with which they reside.  My acute care, population and public health practice revolves around the development and implementation of evidence informed practices that address social determinants of health, including equitable health access and quality health care service delivery. My leadership skills are informed by Goleman’s work in the area of emotional intelligence, and guided by evidence-based frameworks specific to the needs of the maternal child and youth population.
